So after talking with the boys, we have decided that the Grand Canyon is to far from home and that the weather has been so unpredictable out there that we have decided to change our route. We are unsure of our path as of yet but we are going to work our way south.

We had two historic stops today both Civil War related. We stopped at Wilsons Creek National Battle Field. We took the dogs on a couple of nice long walks around the area and enjoyed the sun even though it was pretty chili with the north wind.

Our Second Stop was George Washington Carvers National Monument. Where I got my stamp and the boys decided that was good. So we moved on to something I happened upon while looking up Joplin, MO. The Grand Falls, they are like just outside of town and they are super cool. Bryce had a ton of fun taking waterfall pictures.
After that we finally headed to our campground for the night, it was called Zan’s Creekside Campground it was right off of this river and a highway. The river was cool, the highway not so much, traffic never stopped moving all night long. We also stopped at our first store of the trip and yes it was a Walmart, what is life with a kettle and no tea or cocoa, not good so we went and got some and some more water. Dinner was white chicken chili to finish it up and get it out of the cooler. We had a nice evening hanging out at camp and took the dogs for a walk along the river.
