This Morning We woke up to rain after our rough night of thunderstorms. We slept in since none of really slept until after the big storm hit. We decided after staring at the weather to get up and get moving. We only had an hour drive and we might as well do that in the rain. It was supposed to stop by about noon.

We made our way south to Natchez, MS. We rolled through a cool town with beautiful homes. Though it was still raining so we didn’t stop.

Our Destination was close but Bryce was hungry so we stopped and McDonalds and got early lunch and then made our way to the Natchez Historic Park Visitor Center to get so information on the next leg of our trip and get my book stamped. After that we did the first 11 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway to the campground we are staying in for the next 3 days to ride out the worst of that cold weather heading our way.

We are stay at the Natchez State Park just outside of Natchez, MS. It is a beautiful spot we can see a lake from our site. I managed to get us squeezed in by calling the reservations site and she found me a spot. the day before. It finally stopped raining so we set up camp to let the tent dry out.

It was not all that warm, so we decided to have a fire and I made dinner. Beef and Broccoli with fried rice. It turned out good even for being made on a camp stove.
