Today is a beautiful day in Smokey Mountain National Park. We woke up and hung out at camp. I made breakfast and we packed up camp since we have to change sites today. We decided since we can’t hike with the dogs in the park to drive the park instead. What a beautiful place it is. We decided it would be cool to Timelapse the drive through the park. Just outside of the south entrance to the park is the Blue Ridge Parkway. We did about 60 miles of that and found some phone service. 

I talked to my mom and checked the weather. I found out we had weather headed our way over night since we have no service in the campground we are in or pretty much the entire park. Once we found phone service I figured out that the Visitor Center for the Blue Ridge Parkway was close buy so we headed off to get my book stamped. 

Traffic started to get crazy so we started back to the campground. On the way back we came across a cool mountain biking complex called Chestnut Mountain Nature Complex. Bryce went for a ride and we took the dogs for a walk. By this time it was 80 degree’s and what a nice place. After this we headed back to the campground. 

We ended up in Gatlinburg, TN. What a crazy tourist trap, they have chairs lifts running to check out the scenery. They have all kinds of shopping and stuff to do. Traffic was at a stand stiff and the sidewalks were full of people. We were glad to get out of there, that is definitely not our idea of a good time. Traffic thinned out once we got back into the National Park and we made good time getting back to the Campground. 

Once back at the campground we set up camp, I made dinner. 

I made super easy buffalo chicken dip quesadilla’s. We hung out at camp. While Bryce wandered down to the river to take photo’s.

As we went to be the wind started to pick up. And we got ready for the incoming weather.
