Today’s Adventure is heading up to Stonewall Falls near Tiger, GA. It is a short hop skip and a jump from where we are staying in Tallulah Falls, GA. The Trail Head is Located off of Old 441S onto Stonewall Creek Road. You will follow this for a ways, it is a dirt road and you will reach a Parking Lot. I promise it is there just keep going you will see a couple of closed gates when you get up there. the one on the left heads to the falls. the one on the right is the way down from the 8 mile long stonewall falls mountain biking loop or actually my son used it as the way up. We walked down it.

This trail is super easy to the Falls. It is about a half mile hike into them.

Once you get there if you want to keep going you will see a sign on the right side of the falls for the mountain biking trail. We decided to walk it since we had the whole day. This trail crossed 4 streams, I mean they maybe the same stream but you still have to cross 4 times. After we hiked this we laughed and said a good pair of sandals would have saved taking off our shoes and socks 4 times and having to dry our feet. Just a thought.

The stream crossings are fairly close together. Once you are past the last one you start to climb up into the hills and it is a beautiful walk back in the woods it is super peaceful. Once you get to the top of the mountain and keep walking you will eventually find a fire road this is your path out. follow it all the way back to your vehicle.

We actually Dropped our son off by the power lines to ride the White Twister Trail First and that ends near the parking lot. Then, he rode up the Fire Road and down the other way, doing our loop in reverse. We have been told be a local that is the way to ride that trail.

It was a really long walk but I definitely think it was worth it. As I said my one word of advice is Sandals for the river crossings.
