Hello, sorry for the delay in posting. Life has gotten busy and we have been very busy working on the Jeep. As of two weeks a go we were finishing with rust management on the interior of the jeep with everything torn out of it.
We have done a lot of planning to make sure it will look awesome when it is done. After a couple of large orders from Amazon. We have worked on and completed most of the interior.
It started with rust reforming the floor to keep the rust from spreading. and getting the new stainless panels installed. we used a newer product call 3M Panel Bound which is supposed to be even stronger then welding it together. For our application we thought it would be a good choice. the guys used pop rivets to hold the panels in place to they would be secure until the glue dried.
Then we Foil Foamed the entire floor of the Jeep for Insulation and sound deadening. I thing it turned out good.
After that came carpets and seat mounting. I got the front carpet done, making sure i had all the bolt holes cut so we could get everything remounted. and realized with the ne rear seat it needed to be mounted and drilled so I knew where all the holes had to come through the carpet.
Once we got carpet done we got the seats mounted and I am still working on door panels. We are onto to under rust management, we are spraying the wheels black and it is getting new wood grain vinyl installed with new trim. The next post should have the interior mostly complete and starting on the exterior. Here are some photos of the Jeep with its seats installed.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Sorry for the delay but we have gotten a lot done. I hope you are enjoying watch our progress. If you would like to help fund my sons project there is a donation link below.
